Concepts in Cancer Seminar Series

Our concept in Cancer seminar series will start again on February 2/ 2018.

The first seminar (February 2d) will be held by Gertraud Orend (INSERM, Strasbourg) who is a specialist of matrix proteins especially of the tenascin familiy of matrix proteins. She will talk about recent results of her research in this area.

We will have the great pleasure to welcome Michael Detmar (ETH Zurich) March 22 who is an internationally renowned investigator in the lymphangiogenesis field.

The series will continue with other top internationally renowned scientists during 2018.

Integrated Cancer Research Site Label (SIRIC)

Bordeaux has been recently awarded with the label “Integrated Cancer Research Site (SIRIC)” from the National Cancer Institute (INCA). Three main projects are included in the Bordeaux SIRIC program. One of these projects, COMMUCAN, coordinated by A. Bikfalvi, is related to translational aspects involving the tumor microenvironment.

The SIRIC label is awarded for 5 years with an evaluation after 3 years.

Heterodox Academy-Jonathan Haidt

Heterodox Academy, at the initiative of Jonathan Haidt, Professor at New York University (NYU), is a group of scientists from all horizons whose aim is to promote view-point diversity.
